With frescos in the stairway by Michelangelo Morlaiter and Francesco Zanchi, Palazzo Grassi was the first to be reopened by art collector François Pinault, followed by Punta della Dogana. After successful installations as a part of the Venice Biennale, they continue to be beacon of artistic innovation in Venice with three new exhibits opening March 22.

Luciano Pavarotti: Tour the Maestro’s Home in Modena.
Luciano Pavarotti was an opera icon and legend - his vibrant personality and generous soul made him beloved by many. Opening his home as a museum is another gift he bestowed on the world. For opera fans or even the casual visitor this is a must visit destination. The home still contains many of his personal effects; costumes from his favorite Opera roles are on display along with personal letters from famous friends.

Meet the Travel Designers

Meet the Travel Designers: Roberta Riddle
I was born and raised in Milan, in the north in Lombardy. I started studying foreign languages and came to the United States to San Diego, CA as an au pair. My plan was to stay for six months and really study English and I ended up staying. I really loved it, I loved the ocean and being by the water. It’s hard for me to compare Italy to San Diego because I love both and my family is still in Milan and some in Tuscany. When I go back I get a chance to go back to both Milan and Tuscany, and I try to go back as much as I can.

Roberta Ruffini organized our fabulous vacation. We had a wonderful time meeting the local people, tasting the local cuisine, and discovering the local history & culture - Everything was taken care of, she left no stones unturned. Everything was spot-on. I would recommend and use Cultural Italy for future Italy travels.

Hi Ashleih,
Five stars for my trip to Florence, Italy with Cultural Italy. I am a last-minute planner and reached out to Cultural Italy only days before my trip. I am so happy I did. After speaking with many other tour agencies, Cultural Italy was the only one who met all my planning expectations: responsive, understanding, and accommodating.

Hi Nicoletta,
I did enjoy everything about my trip. Venice was great. I particularly enjoyed Ravello as a peaceful, quiet place away from all the crowds in Positano. I really enjoyed Florence and the walking tour there was great. I especially liked Tuscany and would probably consider going there as a destination. Thank you again for your help. I have mentioned you to many friends and enjoyed working with you.

Nicoletta,
Just wanted to say we had an amazing time on our trip to Venice, Rome, and Sicily. We loved Venice and Rome, but Taormina was a once in a lifetime experience.
You did an outstanding job taking care of every detail for us. Booking the private tours was a great idea and really accommodated our special needs. Thanks for being so understanding. Hope our paths cross again someday.
